Tonse Alliance government have been rated as poorly administration in its efforts towards improving the agriculture sector.

The sentiment has been raised by an agriculture experts as the month of June marks exactly three years since Malawi held its first-ever fresh presidential election, in 2020 on June 23rd.

Among others, the Tonse administration, made a string of promises, ranging from the establishment of mega farms to cutting down the cost of fertilizer.
One of the agriculture experts in Malawi, Ronald Chilumpha, has said that the Tonse government has failed to walk the talk.
According to Chilumpha, three years down the line government is yet to fully establish the mega farms and that it has also failed to make the prices of fertilizer affordable.
With this, Chilumpha has said there is need for authorities to review some of its major promises and have them implemented if they are to win back the lost trust from the people.
Meanwhile, Moses Kunkuyu, Government’s Spokesperson has attributed the failure by Tonse administration to implement some of its policies to challenges that have rocked the country for the past three years.
