Village Headman Kalumo chosen as Heir to Ntchisi’s Deposed Senior Chief. The royal family of TA Kalumo in Ntchisi has selected Peter Kamvumbula, also known as Village Headman Kalumo, as the rightful successor to the throne.

This decision comes after the removal of the former Senior Chief Kalumo due to alleged office abuse. Judith Tenje, a family member, cited Kamvumbula’s strong leadership skills and moral character as the basis for their choice.

The deposed chief, Yohane Ndundu, plans to challenge his removal in court.

Ntchisi District Commissioner, Lusiyize Nhlane, confirmed the proposed successor and stated that it would be submitted to the Ministry of Local Government for approval.
