Singer Madonna often called the “Queen of Pop” was hospitalized and sent to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) over the weekend after suffering a serious bacterial infection

According to her Manager Guy Oseary, the global popstar singer is under medical care and her health is improving.

“A full recovery is expected and we wish her a speedy healing,” Oseary said on Wednesday

Madonna has since postponed her World Tour dubbed “The Celebration” which was scheduled to start on July 15 in Vancouver Canada and end aimed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her breakout single, Holiday.

Meanwhile, Malawians have joined people around the world with benevolence messages to the singer.

Madonna 64 has a special connection to Malawi having adopted son David Banda in 2006 and daughter Mercy James in 2009. She also adopted twins Estelle and Stella.
