The opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has obtained an injunction restraining its publicity secretary Nicholas Harry Dausi from granting interviews in that capacity.

The development comes amid continued infighting in the opposition DPP as some top officials are against the decision by the National Governing Council (NGC) to endorse the party leader Peter Mutharika as the party’s torchbearer.

According to the court document, the party claim that Dausi had excused himself from working in that capacity.

The injunction means Dausi will not be serving as DPP National Publicity Secretary.

Meanwhile, Dausi is yet to comment on the matter.
