Government have been asked too find a lasting solution to the M1 Road section within Chiweta Hills, currently riddled with potholes and slippery bends.
However motorists are forced to wait in some circumstance as the road is impassable. For example on Wednesday, motorists had to wait for hours as the section was blocked after two vehicles slid into a trench.
One of the concerned members, Precious Gondwe, said most potholes were filled with earth, which becomes muddy when it rains.
While the section is earmarked for construction under the M1 Road Rehabilitation project, Gondwe said there are measures that can be adopted while awaiting the construction.
“They took very loose soil to fill the trenches which is very dangerous, particularly this time when we are experiencing drizzles,” he said.
Meanwhile, police have said the blocked part has now been cleared.
