Zambia’s Auditor General Dr. Dick Chellah Sichembe has resigned from his post.
Zambia President Hakainde Hichilema has confirmed of the development in an acceptance letter dated July 12, 2023 seen by this publication.
“President Hakainde Hichilema has, with immediate effect, accepted the notice of resignation from Auditor General Dr. Dick Chellah Sichembe.
“This is in line with the provisions of the Article 252(4) of the constitution of the Republic of Zambia,” reads part of the letter.
Meanwhile, reasons for his resignation are not known at the moment.
