Former Football Association of Malawi (FAM) Vice President James Mwenda has been appointed as District Commissioner (DC) for Salima District.

Mwenda replaces madam Grace Kanyimbiri who has retired.

Many Malawians have since taken to social media to congratulates Mwenda who once challenged Walter Nyamilandu Manda on the post of FAM Presidency.

writing on his official facebook page FAM Commercial and Marketing Director Limbani Cliff Matola said:”Hearty Congratulations James Mwenda, former 1st Vice President and Chairperson of Technical Committee of Football Association of Malawi on your promotion to the position of District Commissioner for Salima District.”
