Information reaching this publication indicates that two people have been arrested in connection with the death of journalist Nomsa Mkandawire Taulo.

The development follows an autopsy report which revealed that Nomsa was poisoned.

Central West Region Police spokesperson Alfred Chinthere has confirmed of the arrest in an interview with one of the local daily papers.

According to Chinthere, the two were arrested on separate days between Friday and Tuesday.

But Chinthere refused to disclose the identities of the two, man and woman.

Inside sources have revealed one of the suspects as Mary Khumbanyiwa.

Nomsa died of respiratory failure due to acute poisoning, according to a post-mortem report dated June 3 2023by forensic pathologist and clinical forensic physician Dr. Charles Dzamalala.

She once worked with Malawi Broadcasting Corporation and Save the Children.
