An unknown man lost his life in a road accident in Chiradzulu along John Chilembwe Highway.
The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon and involved a motor vehicle, Toyota Hiace Twincab.
Chiradzulu police Public Relations Officer Cosmas Kagulo said as the vehicle was traveling from Mapanga Prison towards Kachere, it collided with the pedestrian who was crossing the road from the right-hand side to the left-hand side at Easypack near Chiradzulu Turn-off.
The impact resulted in severe head injuries and a fractured right arm for the victim.
Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at Chiradzulu District Hospital.
Currently, his body is being held at the Chiradzulu District Hospital mortuary, awaiting identification.
