The Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) is demanding the resignation of Anti-Corruption Bureau Director General Martha Chizuma in fourteen days over allegations of selective justice.

CDEDI statement signed by its Executive Director Slyvester Namiwa has expressed shock with the bureau’s silence on the fertilizer procurement deal with the Romanian company Eastbridge in an exchange agreement.

It further cites lack of disclosure on what else the former state house chief of staff, Prince Kapondamgaga surrendered to the ACB apart from the Mercedes Benz.

CDEDI has cited the conviction of one Magret Mbandambanda, a police officer from Limbe police station who was arrested for receiving MK100,000 as an example of selective justice.

Namiwa wonders why the ACB has only set free Kapondamgaga leaving out more Malawians with minor offences.
