Court Sentences 26-Year-Old Man for Wounding Coworker in Argument

The Blantyre First Grade Magistrate’s Court has sentenced a 26-year-old man, Francis Michael to 15 months imprisonment, suspended to 9 months, for wounding a coworker.

Magistrate Balaka gave the sentence after the defendant plead guilty to the charge and admitted that he attempted to stab the complainant on the stomach with a knife after they got in a minor argument.

The complainant’s medical reports indicate that he sustained hand injuries which he got when he blocked the knife.
