Parliament has this morning suspended proceedings temporarily due to a technical problem that affected the recording of deliberations in the Hansard.

The first deputy speaker of Parliament, Madalitso Kazombo made the announcement while Minister of Energy, Ibrahim Matola was responding to questions in the house.

“We have a technical problem because whatever we are debating is not being recorded in the Hansard and as a matter of protocol we are supposed to record everything that we debate here. So we are going to have an early health break and when the problem is rectified you will be informed. House suspended!”, said Kazombo.

Meanwhile, the deliberations will resume once the technical fault is rectified.
