Murder Suspect on Remand Found Dead in Zomba Central Prison

A murder suspect who was in custody at Zomba Central Prison has been discovered dead this morning.

According to the national spokesperson for prisons, Chimwemwe Shawa, the deceased, Hebert Kamanga, was a known epileptic.

However, fellow inmates alleged that Kamanga was deprived of adequate food and proper medical care.

Shawa dismissed these claims, stating that a postmortem examination will soon be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
