A Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) supporter who came from Blantyre to attend the burial ceremony of the party’s Vice President for the north Goodall Gondwe in Mzimba has died at the Mzuzu Central Hospital.
Keith Ngomano, popularly known as ‘Rasta’ died on Monday afternoon after he collapsed while attending the funeral ceremony of late Dr. Goodall Gondwe in Mzimba.
According to inside sources, no party top official came forward to help in repatriating the body from Mzuzu Central Hospital to Blantyre.
It took the intervention of DPP Director of Operations Big Joe Nyirongo who offered a passenger vehicle to repatriate the body to Blantyre.
In a video clip currently trending on the social media, one of the DPP youths has blasted party top officials for not coming forward to offer a decent support to the deceased as was the case at the funeral ceremony of Gondwe.
Effort to talk to DPP Spokesperson Shadreck Namalomba proved futile.
