Leader of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa who is also Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the South has has taken the responsibility to accord the late Keith Ngomani a decent burial.
Ngomani, a DPP youth cadet popularly known as ‘Rasta’ died on Monday afternoon, after he collapsed while attending the funeral ceremony of late Dr. Goodall Gondwe in Mzimba.
He was rushed to Mzuzu Central Hospital where he died a few moments after arrival.
According to inside sources, no party top official came forward to help in repatriating the body from Mzuzu Central Hospital to Blantyre.
It took the intervention of DPP Director of Operations Big Joe Nyirongo who offered a passenger vehicle to repatriate the body to Blantyre.
But yesterday evening, Nankhumwa directed that once the body arrives in Lilongwe be taken to ABWENZI FUNERAL PARLOUR, where it will lay up today.
There, the body shall be embalmed, put into a better coffin and transport will be provided to transport the body back to Blantyre to be accorded a decent burial.
