Blantyre police station traffic officer, Superintendent Jackson Silungwe, has blamed the citizenry for rushing on social media to report incidents of robbery by street connected children, saying this is derailing their efforts to curb the vice.
Silungwe was speaking in Blantyre today, when the Medical Aid Society of Malawi (MASM) donated five cctv camera’s worth K9.8 million to the police station.
According to Silungwe, the law enforcers cannot make arrests based on rumours but people have to report such cases to police.
