Gilbert Mangwazi, aged 31, has been sentenced to three years in prison for house breaking by the Ntchisi First Grade Magistrate court.

The case was presented by State prosecutor Sergeant Virginia Kasiya, who informed the court that Mangwazi committed the offense on the 9th of this month at Malikete Village within the district.

He was found guilty of breaking into a house owned by Henry Phiri and stealing various items.

During the court proceedings, Mangwazi pleaded guilty to the charge. In response, the first grade magistrate, Dorothy B Kaluwa, delivered the sentence.

She handed down a three-year jail term as a stern message to potential offenders.

This ruling aims to serve as a deterrent to others who might consider engaging in similar criminal activities.
