Malawi’s celebrated afrobeat artist Joe Kellz who is also a former member of Zathu Band, has raised the Malawian flag to greater heights after winning My Booth reality show in Lusaka Zambia and  bagging home K10 million.
Joe Kellz and Chisomo Chimoto were the two Malawian contestants who reached the grand finale of the regional music contest, My Booth reality show which was held on Sunday 20th August, 2023 at the Radisson Blu in Zambia.
He shed tears of joy when one of the judges, Sokwani Chilembo, declared that Joe Kellz was the winner, beating Zambia’s Evans Ndalama who was the runner up.
Joe Kellz and Ndalama were the remaining top two from the five finalists so who included another of the country’s representatives, Chisomo Chimoto, Roy-The Songster from Zambia and Kudzie from Zimbabwe, who earned a spot for his nation following a wild card and Joe Kellz has also crowned as the winner of Elation Entertainment recording deal of K51 Million.
The competition, was organized by Pan-African music label Elation Entertainment, started in May this year with 15 contestants, five each from Malawi, Zimbabwe and Zambia.
