In February 2023, a couple got married, but by August 16, Alicia had served divorce papers, reportedly due to her husband’s affair with another man. Court documents revealed Alicia had an active protection order against her husband since May, following his arrest for domestic violence.
On August 17, 2023, Alicia was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds near a house in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her husband, Marcus Durayalle Lofton, was quickly identified as the suspect.
Marcus was arraigned on charges of first-degree murder and firearm possession during a felony, with no bail granted. He claimed they argued, and in a struggle, he accidentally shot her before fleeing the scene.
Marcus Lofton is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on September 5th in a Michigan court.
