Police in Mulanje is keeping in custody a21-year-old man for allegedly defiling a minor.
Public Relations Officer for Mulanje police Innocent Moses has identified as the suspect as as
Chimwemwe Muloma.
Moses has said that the victim went to suspect’s house where she was asked to work on his hair.
Later, Chimwemwe secretly enticed the victim to his room where he defiled her.
But the victim’s young sister caught the suspect red handed and reported the matter to her mother.
Medical examination at Mulanje District Hospital proved defilement on the girl.
The suspect will soon appear before court upon completion of their investigations.
