Blantyre Police is keeping in custody three men on three different alleged murder cases in the city.
Deputy Public Relations Officer for Blantyre Police Constable Ivy Mwalabu, has identified the suspects as Million Davie Banda, John Kajawo and Clemet Mafupa.
According to Mwalabu, Banda has been arrested on allegation that he killed a guard on August 27, 2023 around 04 00 at Lumbira village at a certain house and went away with three Chickens,Shovel,two house curtains and a pipe.
Mwalabu has identified the deceased as Wastedi Navaya aged 75.
Police have also nabbed Kajawo for he allegedly murdered his wife, Milikana Bauleni at Somba Village on May 25 2023 and Kafupa has been arrested for allegedly killed his friend Simon Petro in the same village of Somba on August 24.
The matter was reported to Blantyre Police Station who successfully arrested the suspects.
The three will soon appear before court to answer murder charges.
Million Davie Banda is 23 years old hails from Anderson village, Traditional Authority Kuntaja in Blantyre district, while John Kajawo is 23 years old and Clement Kafupa is 25 come from Talemba and Kakodwa villages, respectively, Traditional Authority Somba in Blantyre district.
