Public Relations Officer for Mchinji Police Limbani Mpinganjila, has identified the suspect as Makaiko Moyo Chinkute.

According to Mpinganira, the two are friends on Facebook and on September 5, 2023, the suspect invited the victim to his home and promised to buy him drinks.

Upon arrival, the suspect coerced the victim with Vanilla biscuits and energy drink and started to kiss and caress his private parts and had canal sex with him.

The victim reported the ordeal to his parents and the suspect was arrested after he voluntary admitting to have done the act.

Medical examination at Mchinji District Hospital revealed that the boy’s anus had been penetrated.

The suspect is expected to appear before the court to answer the case of buggery contrary to section 153(A) of the penal code.

Makaiko Moyo Chintunje hails from Simphasi Village in the area of Traditional Authority Chaima in Kasungu.
