Chief Resident Magistrate Madalitso Chimwaza has rejected an application by Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary who wanted the entire extradition request by South Africa to be dismissed.

The court said it is premature to dismiss the entire case just because South Africa is intending to submit evidence documents that are not admissible as required by Section 13 of the Extradition Act.

Chimwaza said much as the documents are not admissible, they have not yet been tendered before the court, as such it will be premature to dismiss the case at this stage.

Meanwhile, the State is expected to bring in one witness from South Africa on October 10.

Bushiri is wanted in South Africa to answer money laundering case.
