Public Relations Officer for Phalombe Police, Jimmy Kapanja has identified the suspect as Charles Steven Chikhwaya who hails from Namasoko Village, Traditional Authority Namasoko in the district.

The  suspect was arrested on 8th September 2023, following a tip that he was keeping and selling various pharmaceutical products.

Letter-on Detectives arrested the suspect at Muthuka trading centre where he had over 30 types of assorted medical drugs including Malaria Antigens.

Chikhwaya, will appear in court soon to answer the charges of possessing medical drugs without a permission.
