Maranatha Academy said it will continue its pursuit of academic excellence and inculcating passion for success in students both from public and private schools.
At a presser in Blantyre, Managing Director for Maranatha Academy, Enerst Kaonga, said his institution pledges continuous improvement and adherence to expected quality education standards.
He disclosed that as evidence of the institution’s commitment towards continuous improvement, his institution has increased its pass rate to 98 percent from 97 percent attained in last year’s MSCE results.
“We registered 753 students who sat for the Malawi School Certificate of Education. We are proud almost all have passed. Out of this number 500 have qualified for university selection.
“To top it all out of 22 students who have managed to score between six and eight points in the recently released MSCE Examination results, five are from Maranatha, and among them, two have scored seven points each, that’s something worth celebrating,” said Kaonga.
Kaonga said his institution does not have an entrance examination and doesn’t get the cream of students but the dedication of the teachers leads to such stellar performance and results.
“We have work to do. If all schools reject students who seem below average where will these boys and girls access education? So we are supporting the government in educating the nation,” concluded Kaonga.
