Police in Lilongwe have arrested again activist Bon Kalindo as he was coming out of Lilongwe Magistrate Court where there was an inter parte hearing for his earlier warrant of arrest.

Police officers from Area 30 who have arrested Kalindo say the fresh warrant related to Kalindo not honouring his bail conditions in another case.

Kalindo’s lawyer Stanley Chirwa has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

Chirwa described Kalindo’s arrest as unprocedural.

Kalindo is currently at loggerheads with the Tonse Alliance government over demonstrations he recently organized aimed at forcing President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to resign.

He claims that Chakwera has failed to govern the country.
