Two teens have been arrested in Manchester, England following the killing of a 14-year old Malawian boy – Nathaniel Shani on Friday last week.
According to BBC, two suspects aged 14 and 13, are alleged to have stabbed Nathaniel with a knife in an attack which took place on Tavistock Square in Harpurhey on Friday 15 September.
A tribute statement from the family quoted by the BBC says:
“Nathaniel was a best friend to many, he never failed to make people laugh.
“He was polite and the most loving person. He would always put other people first without a thought. He was an amazing brother and son to his parents and siblings.”
The mother, identified as Angella Namadetsa Mlenga, also wrote on facebook.
“My baby by Cadet my best friend my Natie my son. We love you but God loves you more. My heart is broken. I will miss you so much”
Meanwhile Manchester police is still investigating the matter.
Nathaniel was training as a cadet.
