The body of Allan Witika, who worked as Sales Manager for Coca-cola Beverages will be laid to rest today at Misesa Cemetery, Chigumula Township in Blantyre.
The body of Witika was found in his car parked near Gogo Jenera Junction in Bwandilo Township, Lilongwe.
According to the law enforcers, Witika is suspected to have been murdered by unknown people elsewhere.
Spokesperson for Lingadzi Police Station Salome Zgambo confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
“We think this happened between 6am and 7am this morning…and the position of the body shows that this is murder. The body was moved from the front seat to behind the seats and had deep cuts in the head. We have since opened a murder docket,” said Zgambo.
The body of Witika is currently at his residence in Kabula where vigil is taking place.
Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation on the matter.
