Bakili Muluzi speaks out on Tembo’s death

Former president Dr. Bakili Muluzi has said he will live to remember late John Zenus Ungapake Tembo as a loyal citizen of Malawi and the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
Speaking in an interview with the press Dr. Muluzi said that he knew Tembo from the early days of struggle against British rule.
They once also served side by side as Secretary General and Treasurer General in the MCP under Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda.
Other commentators tout Tembo for elegance in his dressing and public appearances and public mannerism.
JZU died on Wednesday morning at a private clinic in Lilongwe at the age of 91.
