Police in Lilongwe have arrested four security guards and recovered about ten brand-new laptops, three cell phones suspected to be stolen at High Tech Gear shop in the Capital city.
Hastings Chigalu Lilongwe Police Spokesperson, has identified the  suspects as Dickson Kudekhaya, 31, Madalitso Jonathan, 28, Winston Mangwalala, 27, and Mussa Saidi, 22, all security guards who cut through the roofing of the shop on Monday night and got away with items worthy K8.3 Million.
“Police detectives had discovered through intelligence that the suspects were keeping the said valuables suspected to have been stolen”, Said Chigalu.
Later, the law-enforcers managed to round-off the suspects within the Central Business District, and then took each of them to their respective homes for search where they recovered some of the items.
Meanwhile, Chigalu says efforts are underway to also recover the remaining six laptops and the four will soon appear before court to answer charge of theft by servant which is contrary to section 286 of the penal code.
