Shortly after Egenco announced the forced leave of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) William Liabunya and Director Videlia Mluwira, the two have secured an injunction to halt the decision.
Earlier, Egenco had stated in a circular that the two officers were placed on leave pending the outcome of a government-ordered forensic audit.
This information was confirmed by Egenco’s spokesperson, Moses Gwaza.
However, Liabunya and Mluwira have acquired an injunction from the Industrial Relations Court, preventing the company from proceeding with its decision and the audit until the court orders otherwise.
