Police in Lilongwe have arrested 22-year old man, Precious Nsakatiza also known as VJ Prestar on suspicion that he created a Facebook account bearing the name and Photos of Chawezi Banda AKA Cha Cha which he allegedly used to dupe people of money.
For the past two weeks Mr. Nsakatiza was allegedly using the account to solicit money from various people on the pretext that he would help them with online business mentorship and also that he sells various items online including cloths and shoes.
The action did not sit well with Cha Cha who through her Manager Chris Loka lodged a complaint to Lilongwe police and the police instituted a manhunt until he got arrested yesterday at Makenzi Village ,in the area of Traditional Authority Sawali in Balaka.
The Police has further warned against impersonation through creating fake social media accounts/pages as this is a serious cyber crime
