Police in Thyolo have arrested a 32-year-old minibus driver, Cassin Amin, for allegedly defiling his stepdaughter.

The district’s police deputy spokesperson, Sergeant Rabecca Kashoti, says Amin allegedly defiled an 11-year-old girl on October 12, 2023, at Kalilombe village, senior chief Nchiramwera, around 8 o’clock in the morning.

Sergeant Kashoti says this happened when the victim was preparing to go to school after her mother had left for business errands.

Amin, who hails from Ben Nsomba in Blantyre, is expected to appear in court soon, according to Kashoti.
