Barely a year after setting ablaze Bvumbwe Police Unit,concerned group of people have started collecting materials to rebuild the police unit.
According to the chairperson of security committee at Bvumbwe police station Billy Masoakutali, the plan to build offices needs a lot of money, and the department of security in this country.
Masoakutali said that the project needs 150 million Malawi kwacha for it to be done, and now concerned people in the area have managed to give almost K600, 000.
The MP for the north Ephraim Naija has said that people in his area are ready to build the police station in order to restore security.
The deputy commissioner of police in the area, Gladson Chapumphula, has admitted that there is a need to build new offices because the fire have really damaged the walls of the offices.
