State Vice President Saluos Klaus Chilima is at the High Court’s Financial Crimes Division in Lilongwe where Justice Redson Kapindu is to continue hearing a corruption case brought against him in the chambers.

Chilima was dragged to court by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) where he is answering charges in relation to receiving bribes allegedly from UK-based businessman Zuneth Sattar.

Today, the court is to hear testimony from the Malawi Defense Force (MDF) as to why an order of disclosure should not be made in favour of the accused person.

On September 25, Judge Kapindu ordered that the MDF should appear before the High Court in Lilongwe through Attorney General to explain specific reasons for refusing to furnish ACB with documents relating to Chilima’s corruption case.
