Man arrested for stabbing a friend to death at a drinking joints in Thyolo

Police in Thyolo have arrested 37-year-old Mwaiwawo Phiri for stabbing to death Sakondwera Khamula at a beer joint last night.
Thyolo District Deputy Police Spokesperson Sergeant Rabecca Kashoti has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Kashoti, the incident happened at the Goliati trading center, where the two went to take beer.
Kashoti said while there, the two quarreled, and Phiri stabbed the deceased in the stomach with a knife and was rushed to the district hospital, where he died while receiving treatment.
The suspect comes from Mitabali village, and the deceased hails from Maliko village, all from senior chief Chimaliro.
