Senior Chief Liwonde of Machinga dies

Death has been announced of Senior Chief Liwonde of Machinga District.
Machinga District Council spokesperson Martin Chiwanda has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Chiwanda, Senior Chief Liwonde, real name Awali Buruhani succumbed to stroke this morning at his home.
Buruhani has been unwell for some time now.
Senior Chief Liwonde has died at the age of 93.
