Fifteen families in Kasungu from villages of Kalipinde and Chithambo have fled their homes after some people destroyed their homes following a border dispute between two chiefs, Santhe and Chaima.
Senior chief Kalipinde and Chithambo said they think that the conspirators invaded houses because they decided to serve king santhe from Chaima.
The affected families are said to be sleeping in the bush for fear that the people who did this may come back and abuse them.
When contacted for comment Kasungu District Commissioner James Kanyangalazi expressed ignorance on the matter.
On his part chairman of the peace committee in Kasungu, Mr. Hastings Kalima, has said he will follow up the matter.
