Silver Strikers coach Pieter de Jongh expressed his dissatisfaction with the scheduling that required his team to play three consecutive away matches in the TNM Super League.

De Jongh, a Dutchman, conveyed his concerns to journalists in Lilongwe as the team prepared for two matches in the Northern Region.

These fixtures included games against Karonga United at Karonga Stadium on Saturday and Chitipa United at the same venue on Wednesday.

He highlighted the negative impact of playing three away matches in a row and criticized the frequent fixture changes, which he considered unprofessional.

De Jongh acknowledged the challenging title race and noted that Silver Strikers had slim hopes of winning the 2023 TNM Super League, trailing leaders FCB Nyasa Bullets by seven points with an extra game played.

Silver has accumulated 46 points from 25 matches, while Bullets have 53 points from 24 matches.

They are also four points behind second-placed Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, who have completed 26 games.

Additionally, Silver Strikers have faced a ten-year drought in securing the TNM Super League title.
