Unknown people have murdered a 72 year old man and went away with his properties worthy MK 1.5 Million in Nsanje.
Deputy Spokesperson for Nsanje Police Station Declare Mbukwa has identified the deceased as Elias Nyathando whose properties including a motorcycle was stolen.
Mbukwa said suspicious came through when the deceased neighbors had not seen him around and when one of the windows was seen to have been damaged.
He was later found lying in his bedroom lifeless having been tied by a necktie with the house ransacked.
A postmortem conducted at Ndamera Health Centre revealed that death due to suffocation after neck strangulation.
Mbukwa said investigations are underway to arrest the culprits.
Elias Nyathando hailed from Nyathando village in the area of Traditional Authority Ndamera in Nsanje district.
