President Lazarus Chakwera has called on different stake holder to invest more in youth and skill development for Malawi to achieve the vision 2063 goals.
Chakwera made the remarks on Tuesday 31th October 2023 at Bingu International Convention Center-BICC in Lilongwe when he was presiding over the National Youth Policy launch.
Addressing people at the event the Malawi leader said directing more resources to the youth and skills will widen economic opportunities which in return will make the Malawi Vision 2063 possible.
”Critical actors of social transformation and innovations are youths; so, empowering them is a wise investment as they possess various skills that can develop the country.
“Malawi’s national aspiration of becoming a self-reliant and industrialised economy primarily relies on proper incorporation of the predominantly youthful population in driving the facets of the Sustainable Development Goals and Malawi Vision 2063 agenda,” said Chakwera.
The national youth policy was launched under the theme: “Harnessing the Youth Potential Towards the Realization of #MW2063.”
