Thom Mpinganjira in cancer centre construction

FDH Bank Founder Thomson Mpinganjira is constructing a multi billion kwacha cancer centre in Blantyre.
He revealed this in Blantyre during a ceremony where FDH Bank was celebrating 15 years of existence.
Mpinganjira said the experience he went through when his late wife Barbara Mpinganjira was battling cancer is what pushed him to embark on the project.
“I spent three months in a hotel in South Africa when my late wife was battling cancer, it is not an experience I would want anyone to experience,” Mpinganjira said.
He said the first patient is expected to be treated next month.
The cancer centre will be named after his late wife Barbara Mpinganjira.
