The battle for three points, Championship, Survivor in TNM Super League continues today, as Red Lions welcome FCB Nyasa Big Bullets at Balaka Stadium.
The lions of Zomba, with a history of being relegated to the second tier of the southern region football league, need to avoid a defeat in order to increase the chances of staying in the elite league as the are second from bottom on the standings with two games left to play.
The people’s team are chasing for their fifth’s tittle in a row and they will be hoping to collect maximum points in order to increase the chances of defending the tittle.
Head coach of Nyasa Big Bullets, Callisto Pasuwa, said his team is ready to face the Zomba based soldiers as his players knows the importance of winning this game.
“The boys are ready like always; they know what they are supposed to do because it will not be an easy game against a side fighting relegation. We need all the support so that by the end of it all, we collect maximum points.
Meanwhile the Zomba based soldiers have warn bullets that they should anticipate a tough match, saying though they match jerseys they are not related.
“Red and white colours are what we share in common. But when it comes to points in the TNM Super League, is a different story. Despite the situation we are in, we should be able to get something from this game. We respect Bullets but that does not mean we fear them,” writes the Club.
The reds are on number 15 with 28 points from 28 games while Maule are on number 1 with 54 points from 24 games.
