Government though the Ministry of Education is today launching a Health Club Sourcebook for Senior Primary School which is a comprehensive reference material for use in school health club activities.
The sourcebook has been developed to avoid each partner in the education sector creating new materials which speak on the same issues but differing on presentation, which not only wasted resources but also confused students and teachers.
Gender and Implications in Schools, Mental health, Nutrition, Malaria Prevention and Control, Water Sanitation and Hygiene are some of the eleven chapters contained in this sourcebook.
The Principal Secretary for Basic Education in the ministry Dr Rachel Chimbwete Phiri is the guest of honour at the launch which is taking place at Sunbird Capital Hotel in Lilongwe.
