The body of former legislator for Rumphi North, Joshua Mzembe, who was allegedly murdered in a controversial circumstance in Mulanje, has been exhumed, and the body has been taken to Rumphi for proper burial.
Mzembe’s body was found half-buried at a graveyard in Ngolowera village in Mulanje district on Thursday last week.
On Saturday, police arrested a couple, Mac Novasi Sabuneti and Grace Maluwa, on suspicion that they had a hand in the murder of Mzembe.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Police Spokesperson in Mulanje, Leah Chagomerana, says police are still investigating to establish the reasons behind the murder of Mzembe.
