Flames international Gabadinho Mhango, has been ruled out of Liberian Clash after missing a flight to Ethiopia from Or Tambo in South Africa.

Flames head coach, Patrick Mabedi has confirmed the development saying, Mhango was supposed to link up with his teammates in Addis Abba, Ethiopia yesterday before proceeding to Liberia today.

“Gabadinho was late for his flight in South Africa yesterday. He will not be with us in Liberia,” said Mabedi.

The flames mentor also revealed that FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, defending midfielder, Frank Willard has been ruled out of the game due to injury that he sustained on Sunday.

Mhango is yet to play under Patrick Mabedi’s leadership, His last appearance in Flames jersey was on March 28 when Malawi lost 4-0 to Egypt, this means that Gabadinho Mhango is expected to be in Flames squad when the team face Tunisia at Bingu National Stadium next week.

The Dube Birds star helped Malawi to reach the round of 16 of African Cup of Nation in Cameroon last year after scoring 3 goals.

Malawi will face Liberia on Friday and then they will face Tunisia on 21 November, 2023 at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
