The Department of Disaster Management (DODMA) has said that it need 680 million US dollars for the restoration of the damaged goods following the storms and cyclone that have been affecting this country.

The Director of planning at the department Boyd Hamella has said that although they have not received the money yet, they are still trying to find help from other financial aid organizations.

Hamella has asked the media to support the department by disseminating accurate information about accidents that happens by cyclones in order to save people’s lives.

DODMA has said that 2.2 million people were affected by cyclone Freddy, 679, 000 people they are homeless, 539 people are still missing and 679 people are dead.
