Former Flames international and Escom United defender, Evils Kafoteka has respectfully request Gabadinho Mhango to apologize to Malawi national team head Coach, Patrick Mabedi, after he was suspended on disciplinary grounds.

The development has come after Malawi suffered a 1-0 loss to Tunisia in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers at Bingu National Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

Kafoteka wrote this on his official Facebook account, saying the country need him and he will lose nothing if he apologizes.

“My advice to Gaba you will lose nothing bro, this country needs you, make a call to the head coach apologize for what he says u didn’t do the recovery, this is a small issue, end the matter it’s not about u or him but do it for the country. Make a call,” wrote Kafoteka

Meanwhile Flames gaffer said it is not necessary to say they have lost Tunisia’s game because of the absent of Gaba.

“I don’t think is necessary to say we have lost because of Gaba, we have played 9 games without those players,” said Mabedi

Mhango was suspended after he missed his flight to Ethiopia from South Africa and couldn’t join the squad that face Liberia on 17 November 2023.
