Former Flames player, Esau Kanyenda has asked the Football Association (FAM) to intervene in the rift that seems to exist between Gabadinho Mhango and Flames coach, Patrick Mabedi.
Kanyenda wrote on his Facebook page, saying he is not backing Gaba nor the Coach but FAM needs to intervene and find solution on the matter.
“The saddest thing is that Football Association of Malawi (FAM) is failing to intervene and handle the matter properly.
“Am not backing Gaba nor the Coach but at least our football Mother body could come in the open and enlighten the football fraternity on what is happening between the two and if there’s something else the matter should be solved before getting out of hand,” wrote Kanyenda.
Mhango was suspended after he missed his flight to Ethiopia from South Africa and couldn’t join the squad that face Liberia on 17 November 2023.
