Graduation ceremony of Senior Commanders of Malawi Defence Force is underway at the Malawi Defence Force Command and Staff College in Salima.
President Dr Lazarus Chakwera, Commander-In-Chief of the Malawi Defence Force is in attendance.
The second Senior Command and Staff Course started on 9 January 2023 and today is the graduation day.
A total of 31 students from within the country and other countries. Out of the graduating 31 students, 21 are from Malawi. The other graduands are from Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia.
The college, which is still relatively new, offers high-level military courses in defence and security as well as critical thinking.
